Obituary for John J. Calvachio Jr.
It is with tremendous sadness we announce the sudden passing of John Joseph Calvachio Jr., of Carmel, New York on March 5, 2023, at the age of 58.
John was born in the Bronx, to John and Josephine (Capparelli) Calvachio on March 9,1964, sharing the same birthday as his beloved father. The family moved to Carmel in 1967 where John attended Kent Elementary School and Carmel High School. He was employed by Royal Carting Co. for many years and most recently with Adams Plumbing and Heating. John was also an experienced and talented carpenter, helping many family members and friends with home improvement projects.
John is survived by his wife Tammy, stepdaughter Jessica, sons John Joseph III and Jason Tyler. His grandchildren, John Joseph IV, Silas, Fabian, MJ, Ashaiyah, and Caleb. His sisters, Victoria Wilkens, Barbara Miuccio, and Lucy Calvachio. John was a special uncle to many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He is predeceased by his beloved parents and sister, Linda Clarke.
John enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and riding his motorcycle on a clear, warm, sunny day. He will always be remembered by his family and friends for his kind heart, sense of humor and willingness to help anyone in need. We will carry your memory in our hearts forever. Rest in eternal peace.
