Mary Ferriner
April 23, 1924 – May 2, 2022

Mary (Babe as she was called) was the youngest of a number of children born to
Gaetano Albrizio and Margaret Barile. She was the first of her siblings to marry
and in July 1945 became Mary Ferriner, marrying Russell of Willimantic, CT.
In May ’46 she became a mom for the first time, having a baby girl which she
named Rosiland, and in the coming years brought Gregory in August ’50, Joanne
in October ’53 and Russell in June ’60. Our family of six (6) grew up as baby
boomers in the Franklin Park neighborhood of Harrison, NY.
Mom was a strict disciplinarian – if there was a problem and one of her children
was in the area of commotion, it was his or her fault. We all learned to run fast.
After my brother was born, mom became a member of the Harrison Players which
she enjoyed very much and soon after starting working in the dining facility of the
General Foods Corporation in White Plains, staying there until well into the
1980’s.
She always wanted the best for her children and together with my dad, tried to
give us all everything they possibly could. All her siblings are gone but she is
survived by her four (4) children, 11 grandchildren and many, many great
grandchildren.
Mom will always be remembered as a woman with a big heart and a kind soul.
She now enjoys eternity with her husband, parents, brother, sisters and family.
