Carmela Piacquadio (Palmiero) of Brewster, NY passed away on November 9,2021 at the age of 87. Carmela was born on March 3,1934 in Benevento (Italy). Carmela came to America when she was 34 years old with her husband, Giuseppe, and two young children, Connie and Salvatore. They settled in the Bronx, NY where she earned a job in a sewing factory and became known for creating beautiful garments for many high-end department stores. Carmela and Giuseppe would later move to Brewster, NY where they poured hours of love into their vegetable garden, growing arugula, peppers, string beans, basil and of course, tomatoes for their homemade sauce. She was happiest when surrounded by family at her kitchen table and could often be heard encouraging her loved ones to 'Mangia!'
