Obituary for Eric M. Dohan
ERIC MICHAEL DOHAN
September 20, 1985
Eric Dohan, 34, passed away from heart complications July 23rd, 2020 in Newburgh, NY.
Eric was born September 20th, 1985 to Linda Arlands and William Dohan Jr. in Mt. Kisco, NY. He is survived by his son Travis, his mother Linda, his brothers Matthew and Jeffrey Dohan, sister-in-law Jean Dohan and nephews Evan and Austin Dohan as well as his Aunt Gayle and Uncle Bill Voss.
Eric grew up in Brewster, NY. He was a member of the Brewster First United Methodist Church. Growing up, he picked up a liking for playing the drums; his talents were on display while carrying out several music projects, including Metadox–a Hudson Valley rock band known throughout the area. He was at his best working on music and audio production.
Eric later lived with his father in Ossining, NY and became an active member of the Ossining Fire Department. He loved helping people and being able to make a difference in his community.
Recently, his son Travis has been the focus and love of his life. They enjoyed all types of activities, working on home projects together and going to the beach. They were often riding bikes in his new community of Fishkill, NY. Eric’s friendliness and wit were well-received in his neighborhood and he quickly made many friends.
Eric’s warm heart and humor will be greatly missed by many. As an organ donor, his continuous kindness and giving nature has helped others even after passing.
