Obituary for Helen Sinnott
Helen Sinnott of Peekskill, New York, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2020.
Helen was born on November 18, 1945 in Dumbarton, Scotland. She came to the United States as a young woman with her beloved mother, Mary Sweeney. Shortly after she arrived in New York she met George Sinnott, and they married in May 1966. Although the marriage did not last, they had 3 daughters. Their first daughter gained her angel wings during birth. Sandy was born in December 1969 followed by Debbie in December 1973. Her daughters, and later her grandchildren, were her whole world.
Helen is predeceased by her beloved mother, Mary Sweeney, her brother, Pat Sweeney and her son-in-law Rich Wetzel.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Sandy Wetzel and Debbie Sinnott (Michael Feldman), six grandchildren: Samantha, Christian and Matthew Wetzel and Andrew, Ryan and Tyler Sinnott. She also leaves behind her brother Jim Sweeney (Sharon) and nieces Kimberly Sinnott (John Nadasky) and Carol Mahoney (Mike); nephews Gerry Sinnott (Amber) and Brian Sweeney (Tiffany) as well as cousins, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends.
Helen was an amazing Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Her loss leaves a huge hole in all of our lives.
