Obituary for Robert Thompson

Mr. Robert Thompson was born on January 27, 1964 in Kingston, Jamaica to parents Thaddeus Thompson and Veronica Smith, He received his call from his Heavenly Father on April 10, 2020.

Robert went to St. Andrews Technical High School in Jamaica. He served in the Jamaica Defense Force, was a member of the Third Battalion Jamaica Regiment (National Reserve 3JRNR) and Caribbean Shooting Team. Robert migrated to the United States and served as a healthcare worker at Bellevue Hospital in New York, for twenty two years. He loved his family, singing, going to church, and serving God.

He is survived by his father, Thaddeus Thompson; mother, Veronica Smith; stepmother, Yvonne Thompson; daughter, Daneal Thompson; son, Daniel Thompson; brother, Rudy Thompson; sisters; Marcia Shields, Terry Henry, and Angela Dunbar; nieces, Jasmine Thompson, Reana Thompson, Jazmine Wright, Sharon Murray, and Dana Dunbar; nephews, Junior Thompson, Kevin Thompson, Cortney Henry, Amani Anglin, and Michael Dunbar; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

As Robert Thompson rests in peace, he will always rest in our hearts, minds and souls.


Due to COVID-19 there will be a private burial. The family has asked not to send flowers to the funeral home, yet they invite you to leave condolences on Robert Thompson's webpage.
