Obituary for Emma M. Lasorsa
Emma Lasorsa was born in Manhattan, New York on August 25, 1941. She graduated from Edison Vocational & Technical High School in Mount Vernon NY. She worked for the Tuckahoe Building Department as the secretary to the Building Assessor. She died on January 17, 2020. She was 78 years old.
Emma will be remembered for the love and devotion she had for her family and friends. She had a tremendous heart and adored spoiling her four grandchildren. Emma had a larger than life personality and was such a great storyteller. She loved people and loved to share all of her reminiscent stories. She was selfless and had such a passion for spending time with her family. Emma was a remarkable cook. She enjoyed cooking meals with her daughters for her family, especially over the holidays.
Emma was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Nicola J. Lasorsa. She is survived by her loving daughters Debbie Giannotti and her husband Tony, Laura Haramis and her husband Nick, her brothers Dan Squillante and Ron Squillante and her four adored grandchildren, Anthony, Alexandra, Nicholas Joseph and Nicholas Ryan.
