Anthony Pelliccio (Tony, Poppy, Uncle Tony) passed away Friday July 5th at Transitions LifeCare Hospice Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina at the age of 94.
Tony was born on June 10th, 1925 to Dominick and Elisa Pelliccio. A World War Two United States Army veteran he served in the military police and trained as a medic. He was wounded in the war and was honorably discharged in 1946.

Tony worked as a carpenter and fine cabinet maker and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (local 493) for 73 years. During his time in the union, he served as treasurer of his local.
He was a gifted artisan as evidenced by his early mill work creating custom cabinetry and furniture, if you could dream it, he could build it. In later years he enjoyed making custom music boxes, painting, cooking, playing golf, and of course spending time with his extended family at A Taste of Italy in Wilmington, NC.


Beloved husband of Mary Jane (deceased) and Anna (deceased).
Loving brother of John (deceased), Mae (deceased), Mary (deceased), Peter (deceased), Theresa (deceased), Rosanne (deceased), and Salvatore, not only his brother but best friend.

Cherished father of Elisa (George), John (Virginia), and Toni Ann (Michael). Adored grandfather of George (Rose Marie), Anthony (Mary), David (Leann), Kathryn Claire (Timothy), Amy, and Emily. Proud great grandfather of Mariah, George, Jake, and Jack.

He will be remembered for his love of family and inability to meet a stranger. He would brighten every room and enter the heart of everyone he met.
