James, William "Ed"

William E. James, 63 of Somers, NY, went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2013. He was raised in Port Chester, NY and proudly served in the US Navy. Ed was a dedicated business man, who lovingly supported his family, church, and community.
Ed was preceded in death by parents, William & Lucille James. He is survived by his son David James, daughter Cynthia James, daughter and son-in law Christina & Nicholas Ciminello and his three granddaughters, wife Sophie James, brothers Gary, Larry and Doug James, and a loving extended family. Ed was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend to all.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, music, good food, gardening, and birds. His faith in the Lord Jesus sustained him and carried him home.
A special thanks to Pope John Paul II Nursing & Rehabilitation and Sol Amor Hospice for making his final home and days peaceful.

A time of gathering will be held on Tuesday October 15th from 2:00-4:00pm and from 7:00- 9:00pm at Balsamo-Cordovano Funeral Home in Carmel, NY (845) 225-2144. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday October 16th at 10:00am at Community Bible Church in Ossining, NY (914) 762-1632. Ed will be laid to rest at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Brewster, NY following the funeral.
