Obituary for Rocco Panetta

Rocco Panetta
Rocco Anthony Panetta died suddenly on January 6, 2018. He was born in the Bronx on August 22, 1962 to Norma and the late Arthur Panetta.
He leaves behind a wife Theresa, a son Arthur John, age 13 and a daughter, Catherine age 11.  Rocco shared a love of basketball as well as sharp, dry wit with his son, Arthur and was very proud of his daughter Catherine’s artistic and theatrical interests.  He also leaves his mother, Norma Panetta and two sisters Barbara Panetta, and Carol Corry and her husband, Doug.
He is also survived by his mother and father in law Catherine and John Malmgreen; his sister in law Erika Malmgreen, her husband Kent Findley and their daughter Josephine.
Rocco was a fan of the Yankees, but most importantly a fan of all types of music. He was an accomplished percussionist and loved to play the drums. Over the years he played with many bands from blues and rock and roll to swing. Most recently he played with Ruby and the Wolves.  Rocco enjoyed cooking, especially his annual Christmas Eve Fish Feast and had a wicked sense of humor.
He loved his children and all of his family leaving behind nieces Christina Griffiths, Laura Nordstrom, husband Kevin and son Gideon.  Diane Grodek, husband Tom and their children Savannah and Corry; his nephew and godson Michael Corry and his wife Judy and their three daughters Olivia, Maia and Anna.  He will be missed by a herd of loud boisterous cousins, many friends and bandmates.
