Mrs. Marion G. Lyke entered eternal rest on July 13, 2017, She was 84 years old. Marion was born to the late Ernest and Gertrude Bengtsson on July 6, 1933 in Queens, New York. She moved with her family to Carmel New York as a young lady. Marion worked for many years as a registered nurse, most recently at the Arms Acres in Carmel, New York.
Marion is survived by her husband Ward, 4 children Linda Elmendorf (Stanley), Elizabeth Lounsbury (Douglas), Fredrick Verity (Angela), and Cynthia Turtoro (Randy). Marion also leaves behind 8 loving grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Marion's family will be receiving friends on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Balsamo-Cordovano Funeral Home at 15 Church Street, Carmel, New York, 10512. The funeral will take place Tuesday. Mass of the Christian Burial 11 a.m. at St. James Our Lady of the Lake Church, Carmel, New York. Interment to follow at Raymond Hill Cemetery.
