Francis "Sonny" Joseph Tezzi, 72, of Yarmouth Port, Mass. ,passed away peacefully Monday, June 5, 2017 at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Sonny was born September 15, 1944 in Harrison, NY. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1962 and received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Babson College, Mass. 1966. Sonny was employed as a Financial Analyst at IBM for 38 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching sports (Yankees and Giants), and spending time with his family.
Sonny is survived by his wife Bonnie (Brotten) Tezzi and they enjoyed 28 wonderful years together. He is survived by his 3 children from his first marriage; Frank and his wife Shirley of Matthews, NC, Nicole Gallaher and her husband Richard of Wappingers Falls, NY, Cristina Watkins and her husband Charles Of Hopewell, NY. And 8 loving grandchildren: Ryan, Megan and Sara Tezzi, Kaitlyn, Ashley and Nina Gallaher, Charles and Emily Watkins. His dear sisters and brother-in-laws Nancy and Mac McNally of Danbury, Conn., Nicoletta (Nikki) and Michael Petrone of Bronxville, NY. And many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his caring sister-in-law and brothers-in-laws, Judith Brotten Davis and her husband John and his brother-in-law Don Brotten.
He was preceded in death by his mother Theresa (Valentino) Tezzi and his father Dominick Vito Tezzi; his loving sister Maria (Tezzi) Casagranda and her husband Walter Casagranda; his first wife and friend Kathleen (Kirwin) Tezzi.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at Harrison Funeral Home on Friday, June 9. Funeral Services for Sonny will be at St. Gregory the Great on Saturday, June 10 at 10:00am in Harrison. Sonny will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven in Hawthorne.
