Obituary for Edythe M. Puckhaber

Edythe M. (Block) Puckhaber, 80, of Somers, N.Y, wife of the late John Puckhaber, died on Wednesday, August 10th at Bethel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Croton-on-Hudson.



She was born on Staten Island on April 8, 1936, daughter to the late Carl and Mae (Kingsland) Block. She was raised in Carmel and she spent her adult life in Somers.



She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and dedicated her life to her family. She treasured the time spent with close friends. She was a volunteer with the Girl Scouts of America and the Drew United Methodist Thrift Shop.



She is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Puckhaber of Somers, and Susan Bryant and her husband, Gordon, of Ridgefield, CT; grandchildren, Nicholas, Connor and William Bryant. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother Herbert Block.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
