Obituary for Marette M. Glover (Marette Coutroumanos)

Marette M. Glover (Marette Coutroumanos)
MARETTE MANOS GLOVER

Marette Manos Glover beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend died June 9, 2016 at the age of 98. She was married for 67 years to the late James John Glover whom she met when she was 16 and he 18.
Together they lived a life filled with love and adventure, meeting every challenge head on. Marette was proud that she was a window dresser at Kress Department store on 5th Avenue prior to her marriage, and she was a skilled seamstress throughout her life, making clothes for herself and her 2 younger sisters Estelle Hawie (William) and Loretta Garo (Anastis). Active throughout her life, tennis was her passion and she was always up for a game.
She and Jim raised 3 children, Elaine (Daniel), Bill (Myra) and Jamie (Jeanette) whom she loved and supported in all their endeavors throughout her life. She adored her 4 grandsons, Alexander, Christian, Loukas and Julian Glover and she embraced Daniel’s children, Judi (Chris) and Dan Jr. (Herlin) and their children, Maya, Sophia and Kezia Arinka as her great-grandchildren. She was a loving and supportive aunt to her nieces and nephews and her great nieces and nephews.
She was filled with a zest for life and was a bright light in all our lives. Marette was always smiling with never an unkind word for anyone. She drew even strangers in with her smile. May her memory be eternal.
