Obituary for Dennis D. Koster Jr.

Dennis D. Koster, Jr., 87, passed away on February 22, 2015. He was born on July 31, 1927 in Turin, N.Y., the son of Dennis and Grace Koster. He was raised on a dairy farm. He married Shirley Talmadge on September 30, 1946, she was the love of his life and he adored her.
He enlisted in The Navy during World War II and received numerous medals. He was very proud to have served and was very patriotic.
He loved to talk about his service to our country and loved quoting history. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, gardening, watching the Yankee baseball games and woodworking. He loved making gifts for his family. He worked as a manager of CryoDyne Corp., a welding supply company until he retired in December 1992 and enjoyed many years of retirement at their home in Glenfield, N.Y.
He was very proud of his children and family and loved them very much.
He is survived by his 8 children: Denise (Frank) Andreotti Pine Bush, N.Y., Craig (Emilia) Koster Hopewell Jct., N.Y., Cathy (Jim) Coco Matthews, N.C.,
Pamela (Bill) Shaw Carmel, N.Y., Rhonda (Ken) O’Connor Hurley, N.Y., Karen (Scott) Markumas Carmel, N.Y., Amy (Karl) Forste Saugerties, N.Y.,
Jeffrey (Kimberly) Koster Rhinebeck, N.Y. and 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
